Without question COVID-19 has affected every Australian business. Many people are doing it tough and at Sleepy’s, we’re striving to adapt to the new ‘normal’.

In the very early days of the pandemic we realised it would have a significant impact on our business. To protect our customers, staff and franchisees, we immediately actioned the following measures:

  • Franchisee fees were waived for the period mid-March to June 30, 2020.
  • A health regime for customers and staff was implemented, inclusive of social distancing and the availability of hand sanitisers. We also made changes to our website, instore POS, external and internal messaging and, staff training to ensure the safety of all customers and staff.
  • When testing mattresses, customers must now use a pillow screen. All mattresses are also sanitised after being tested by customers.
  • Frequent (sometimes daily) network communication to ensure our network remained up to date with the latest government initiatives and assistance.

Our aim was, and still is to deliver a very high level of customer confidence and hygiene in all Sleepy’s stores. We want everyone to feel safe when visiting us and have peace of mind knowing we’re taking the appropriate measures to keep people as safe as possible.
