What to Expect From Your Mattress
Body Impressions
Indentations are normal on the surface of any new mattress as it contours to your body shape. This does not necessarily constitute a manufacturing fault. Sleepy’s recommend you regularly rotate your mattress from head to toe to prolong its life. Enlist the help of someone to reduce the chance of injury and follow the tips on mattress rotation below to minimise impressions.
Mattress Rotation
Our mattresses are designed to be used on one side only. Therefore, they must be rotated from end to end. We recommend that you rotate every 2 weeks for the first 4 months then 3 monthly thereafter.
How to Rotate:
1. Push at opposite corners while mattress is lying flat.
2. Position mattress across bed so that it hangs over about 30cm or more.
3. Push alternately on corners to position mattress on bed.
Mattress Cleaning
Keep your mattress clean and dry! We recommend you place a quality waterproof mattress protector over the mattress. Vacuuming regularly will also help prevent dustmites.
Treat spills and stains as soon as possible. Use a damp cloth when cleaning and allow to dry naturally. We recommend you air your mattress for half an hour every time you change your sheets.
Mattress Size Difference
Our Australian bedding manufacturers advise due to the handmade nature of their mattresses, the length, width and heights listed may vary slightly and they allow a 2 cm tolerance across these measurements. If you do choose to measure your mattress, please ensure you make these checks from bottom or underside of your mattress.
